I do the same thing, only I get my oil from Hicks at DuQuion Il. They are a blending-packaging Co. I hauled a lot of Valvoline oil out of their plant. The Tech's there assured me their house brand was as good as anybody's oil. When I was there last about 10 yrs ago. They were packaging Valvoline, Mobil, and Kubota. That was just that day. The deal is big company's buy their oil from a lot of different places, depending on who will do it the cheapest. The base stock is a little different at different places, depending on where they buy it. The Valvoline Tech at St. Louis told me the oil they sold to Walmart was a old formula, they didn't use anymore. Nothing was wrong with it, but not the latest and best. Hope this helps. Vic
