A dealer closed in our town last year. Same guy operated for about 50 years. Decided to retire. Started out as Allis-Chalmers dealer but sold New Holland last. That only left one JD dealer in town and they are owned now by a big company that operates about half dozen dealerships. A New Holland dealer in a nearby town opened a satellite store here a few months ago but they don't seem to be doing much.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents.
