I first learned about Menards when I was refurbishing a 90 year old house. I made monthly trips to Lincoln NE for business and started driving the company truck so I could load up.
They have great prices on storm windows (white finish) and their 6 panel oak doors a pretty nice too.
About the only issue I have with them is the same issue I have with every other home supply places - their cabinets are made from particle board - even their nice ones. I con't know what the diffence is but it can't be that much more expensive to laminate an oak or maple finish to regular plywood instead of particle board that warps the first time it gets wet (imagine that a kitchen cabinet getting wet).
