There are two cylinders listed for W560 and 660. Each cylinder is listed for use with both models. It must be a situation where there is an early and late but there is no cut-off number for the changeover. This would seem to indicate that either cylinder can be used on any W560 or 660.
It is odd that this question comes up now. Yesterday, I received an eBay 660 cylinder and linkage. It appears identical to my existing 660 hardware except that the piston rod has a smaller diameter. The port configurations and front and rear mounts are the same.
The smaller rod was probably used to achieve more equalization in the displacement for left and right turns.
It is also interesting to compare 650 and 660 PS systems. With considerable rework, the later system could be made to work on the 650 and all 9 series. I have both models with PS so it would be easy for me as I have the pattern.
