SURE a heavy duty (say 200 amp rated) strong tight clamp sorta like a battery jumper cable clamp will "work". 2000 watts/12 volts = 166 amps mind you!!! 1000 watts = 83 amps!!!!!!!
If youre gonna be using it at heavy load condition for a longggggggg time of course HARD WIRE is how Id prefer it. Hey if you use good heavy 200 amp cables and lugs with copper, brass or stainless steel hardware SUCH ISNT ALL THAT HARD TO HOOK UP AND UNHOOK YA KNOW

YES 100 or 200 amp rated (depends on load) jumper cable type clamps will "work"
HOWEVER hard wired with 100 to 200 amp rated lugs and connectors would be better

PS how much or how many batteries (total amp/hrs) are you running and how are they being charged???????????????? Even an 83 amp draw is reallyyyyyyyyyyy gonna suck the batteries (subject to how many and total amp/hrs of storage)dry fairly fast
