Back in about 1966, I was very unhappy with the service my 1964 Impala had received from Rapids (Rancid) Chevrolet, down in Cedar Rapids.
I wrote a letter to the president of the Chevrolet Division telling him, among other things, that I felt that I, as a not-too-far removed farm boy, had been serviced more than my car had.
I was polite enough to send a copy of my letter to the owner of Rancid Chevrolet. He promptly called me at home to call me a "lying SOB"
