I've used a laser printer for everything black & white for several years. I uses way more paper than toner. I keep an old ink machine for things I want in color and change the ink about once a year. Once you go with laser it's so much faster you will never want to go back to ink. I'm sure they make color lasers too but they are kinda pricey unless you need to do a lot of color printing.
