Maine law says you have no duty to warn an intruder if doing so would put you at risk.Local newspaper has good coverage.I had a look at the front page yesterday.Shell casing was outside on blacktop.Must have been a 9mm.Not enough gun.Shot to hip killed one rat, leg shot wounded the other.An elderly woman was stabbed 30 times during a home invasion but did call 911 before she died.Killer is in prison.So called home invasions have happened in towns all around us.
