I am speaking from experience , am now 61 , started having knee trouble when I was 45 ,got worse till I was 57 in 2008. It got so painful walking I dont know how I got thru a day .I finally went to a joint replacement specialist, got a new right knee replacement Rehab was little slower than I was led to believe it would take, but i dont have the pain to suffer with . only trouble i have is kneeling on it , and Doc said no more running. that not that bad , getting to old to run anyways. A friend of mine was having trouble with his knees at 72,kept putting off having them looked at , then when he did go , he had waited too long as his bones had been grinding each other so long there was nothing left for a replacement to connect to. Yes it will seem like you are dying the first week but its worth the inconvience.
