christina I have a 530 Case that does the samething. I think it"s a common thing with case tractors some are very cold blooded. The colder it is outside the worst it is on running smooth.
I run my choke 1/4 way closed or more till engine quits sputtering and once the engine gets warmed up enought so you won"t need to set the choke. Usally it will start loading up the engine with black smoke come out the exhaust pipe then the frost around the intake is going away. You won"t need the choke it anymore. Mike
