old oats??

Hey folks,

I'm cleaning out and rearranging the feed room and have about 300 pounds of oats that I'm not sure about. These were given to me when I bought some straw and barley. It's the stuff that fell thru the screens on the combine. Anyway, went to roll some the other day and it didn't do just right and eventually plugged up the press... Was gonna just give it to a neighbor with chickens and one with goats, but I notice a smell to it that is kinda musty or moldy... Will this stuff hurt animals or are they smart enough to leave it alone? Or If I put it out where wild hogs and deer can get it, will it hurt them?
