Think outside the box man. When I converted my Farmall H to 12V I used a Delco- type battery with side terminals pointed to the out side. That way if I ever flipped it over the battery wouldn't short out against the bottom of the gas tank. I might get smushed but not burnt! Was a heck of a lot easier to get to and allowed me to mount the battery solid to the tractor I didn't have to take it loose to get to the cables
