there have been studies done to see what was the best lubricity additive, you can find them, but soy oil was the winner hands down. As little as 2 percent soy biodiesel will exceed what the old high sulphur had as far as lubricity charactaristics. This came from some Ford technical info from a few years back when the ULSD came out as it related to the older diesels especially the old rotary fuel injection pump 6.9l and 7.3l. I googled it once and found the results. The soy way outperformed all the fancy hi priced name brand additives on the wear test they do with a ball bearing .
