I run 8 ply 7.50x16 on my loader tractor, and handle 300-400 high moisture round bales per year, and at least that many 5x5 and/or 5x6 dry rounds per year. The 8 ply usually last 3-4 years. Can't seem to find 10 or 12 ply around here. If you can get a deal on the heavier tires, I'd go for it. I don't see 6 ply lasting long.
