I was at an auction just yesterday here in Indiana.Bought 2 240# holstein steers for 80 cents a pound. Got 3 more that weighed 197# for $1 a pound.Prices were all over the place. Seen 1340# steers bring $1.05 a pound. Most beef calves were $1.20 # and up. Good holstien bucket calves weighing 90 to 100 pounds were bringing $2 a pond and more. Unreal!!! Why pay that much for a 3 day old baby when you could buy a started calf for less?? Feeder pigs were out of sight too.Seen 15 45# pigs bring $95 head! 25 pigs at 50# sold for $110 each. Doest make sense!! LOL Doug
