I was having a conversation about auction schemes with a buddy of mine a few days ago. Here is our scheme for getting the price down the next time we go: We're going to hire some pretty, curvy girl and give her a cue just at the time the piece of equipment we want starts to get bid on. She'll start writhing and shaking around up near the auctioneer and get the other bidders distracted. Then we'll get the item for a song. :)
