My grand parents lived in St. George when I was growing up.My great Aunt helped organize the whole Festival and was Granny Grits until her death a few years ago.They even named the big crossroad with the flashing light after her. They call it "The Nell Bennett Big Cross Road With The Flashing Light" :) Seriously my family came from there and Parents moved back there about 12 years ago until Dad fell and broke his hip and now they live with me in Charleston. I have never been to the festival as I have a fear of crowds of people.But I do like Grits.
