Some people take things too seriously. The blessing does serve a purpose. It gathers people together and they pray to God. What is bad about that?
Doesn't it say somewhere in the Bible, "If you gather in my name I will be there." Does not mean you have to be in a church, in a suit, at 11am sharp on a Sunday does it?
