The 2002 toyota highlander that I blew a head gasket in is about to get fixed finally.
I was wondering though. That thing never showed hot on the temp gauge. As a matter of fact, it never registered at all. This is with about 20 miles of highway driving and still it was on cold.
I noticed the problem when I reached up to turn the heat up. No hot air and that's when I noticed the engine light was on.
Does anyone know of a circumstance where the engine would be practically on fire but the temp gauge shows nothing?
Even the water hoses didn't feel like they had pressure on them. The next day when I picked it up and it still had water in the radiator. Motor got so hot it warped the head beyond repair.
