Here in Ohio, Home Depot carries 2 Brands with the changeable ends.. "Ryobi" and "Echo"
The accessory ends do NOT inter-change between Brands... The Echo is probably built stronger (but does cost more).. I bought the Ryobi combination Straight shaft trimmer, 10" Chainsaw "Pruner" and 3 foot extension.. Works Good, Starts Good..just always tighten the Shaft connections Tight, for strength.. I find the "pruner", used without the Extension section to be real handy for reaching into brush and cutting it off..you don't need to work your way into all the brush to cut it off.. 12 Foot sounds like a lot, but does not look all that high once you stand back and look... Sure does beat using a Ladder or cutting from the tractor...! Ron..
