About 38 years ago I bought a pair of Redwings lace up work boot that had the new neoprene soles on them. The store owner told me IF I could wear out the soles before the rest of the shoes fell apart he would personally give me a new pair for free. After 11 years the uppers fell apart and I had to buy the next pair.
