It kinda goes that way with the wife's family gatherings.

Father in law, good guy, can't talk with anyone cause he's going around trying to talk to everyone (just trying to be a good host).

BIL #1, just goes off by himself and reads.

BIL #2, obeys his wife and just keeps track of his kids.

BIL #3, can only talk about electronics, computer games and his time in the Army (2 months)

BIL #4, only stands around bragging about his hunting and fishing skills (I have to zero his hunting rifle cause he can't shoot worth a darn).

BIL #5 , Married into the family like I am will not talk unless he has a few drinks in him then he's fun to be around but MIL don't allow drinking around her.

The adult nephews only show up long enough to eat.

So I get to set there and do nothing, bored, for hours on end, for most Sundays over the summer.

Mean time the wife, SIL's (only 2 seems my wife's brothers can keep a wife) MIL and adult nieces gab for hours. Cause of my wife we are the 1st ones there and the last to leave (she helps he mom set up and clean up). I've wasted a great number of man hours at these family gatherings.

Rick

Today's Featured Article - What Price Enthusiasm? - by Anthony West. Quite frankly, for some time now restorers like myself have become more and more concerned about the rapid increase in the prices of old farm machines here in England. There is now a growing market for "As found" machines. Which as machines get rarer, has found the birth of a new industry....one of the "procurement agent". These agents appropriate as much old machinery as possible then inflate prices at auctions. So at what price enthiusiasm? We are now seeing poor machines which 3 years ago ma ... [Read Article]
