Had to plow a couple of acres by the road for my sister last night, has been in grass at least 35 years. New to me 3 bottom KV85ab plow so I scuffed the boards up in a patch I plowed last year thats waiting to be disced.
Plowing out, first pass laid over beautiful, stop and readjust for the next pass, after that, only every 2nd pass was any good. The grounds so rocky, one of the boards would trip out every 20 ft, messing the furrows each time.
Also, my new tires are wider, and I don't have the wide body boards on my plow to let bigger tires fit in the furrow.
Lastly, I got done and was eyeballing the plow, I think one of the beams is bent and pulling off kilter.
What a mess when you stand back and look at it! I hope it hurries up and dries so I can disc it asap.
