Don't know what law says in my state. Pumps can't shut off same. Depends how fast you have fuel running in, also how far you have nozzle stuck in tank, also the car it's self. Sooo if law dictates when a pump shuts off there would need to be a law that says how you put gas in and in which cars so that pump would have a half way chance of cutting off the same. If you never have had these factors causing pump to cut off early you need to buy extra lottery tickets this week cause you are very lucky.
