I have changed one spindle because of a worn key way, it helped, the other key is okay. The power steering is working and helps, but the problem occurs when ever the terrain is not totally flat and solid then the wheels will work apart from their alignment and end up pointing in opposite directions, actually had a tire pop off the the hub when I did not catch it quick enough. The alignment has always been off and have had great difficulty getting the tires to match up,almost as though I had the wrong linkage(unlikely). This has been a problem since I got the tractor a couple of years ago but it has gotten worse over time.Is the steering gear worn out? Sometimes when I turn the wheel I can feel a binding going on inside the gear and it wont turn unless I turn the wheel in the opposite direction a little then the gear seems to free up and I can turn in the direction I want.So to summerise the woodruff keys are new, one spindle is new, power steering pump is working, and all the linkage is present.Stumped.
