The answer is probably that you said your water was shut off. When you turned it on,you most likely sent some lime scale from hard water buildup or plain old rust into the water valves on frig,and its probably stuck there letting water seep through. Never turn a valve on without running it and flushing line first,it will save you lots of headaches. Drain line to freezer is most likely in a drain pan under the rear wall of freezer,nearly all are these days because they are far less likely to plug up. Not your problem though i would wager. Very easy way to tell,simply shut the wter off to it.If water continues to build up in bottom its your drain and the water is coming from the defrost cycle,if it does stop its your water valves to ice maker and water dispenser.
