Sorry I was not more clear.

1) we do not have the best health care in the world. We are ranked about 10 or 11.

2) Howver, we do pay the most for healthcare of any nation in the world.

Not dreams. Just facts. Nobody wants to hear that.

Insurance is a pooling of premiums to pay for a few rare catastropic events.

What we call healthcare insurance is actually a pooling of payments to pay for a constant and steady stream of expenses.

It is kind of like if you and your neighbors pooled your grocery money and some people got lobster and others got beans but every body spent from the fund. Why would pooling your grocery money get you more and better goceries? and If it is a good idea, why not propose it to your neighbors?
