And it continues cool and moist in the west. We are in the 60's most days, rejoice if it tops 70 and doesn't rain. Virtually no hay put up yet, except for one BTO with every hay tool imaginable (and a tractor for each), who is sneaking a little bit off during each short rainless period.
Short answer is, we're "north" of the polar jet stream, you guys are "south", and until the high breaks down in the midsection, we're each in for more of the same. Last summer was the same, bulk of the hay came off in late July and early August- but still decent quality, because of cool wet weather leading up to it.
