Mark IN, Yes, the US is a great nation we are blessed to live in. Can't imagine living anywhere else on this big ol' round ball. But I think that's the way one should feel about one's homeland - no matter its location. (And to give credit to the rest of the world, since this is the only country I have ever resided in - I know there are many, many beautiful places in this world.]
And yes, the rusty Regular has definitely been modified... like I told The Red - it is really easy on gas and does not burn any oil at all. LOL!
And yep, we bought the wheels on Fleece.bay - they were from an F20 (though we actually got a great price, we only paid $200... since one wheel had a small crack). But husband is a welder by trade, so not a problem to us. It has been fixed and the repair is rusting up nicely. The Regular will never be painted, we are keeping it rusty and hope to eventually find an equally rusty IHC Little Wonder plow to put behind her.
We added several other things: rear foot brake, foot rests, PTO extension and she will have an original Farmall mudscraper too... all nice and rusty. And no, they did not come from the factory with these items, but farmers of that era could have added those items if they chose to, and we just like it like that. The cherry on the parfait will be adding a castiron seat - also not factory, but we just want one.
