Dave- Don't want to pee on your parade, but try this for me. You know those bags you get at the stores when you shop- the thin, plastic things? You need one or two for this. DO NOT HUSK your ear the whole way- leave several layers of leaf on it. Leave the silk intact. Then, put it in one of those plastic bags and loosely tie the top or twist it a couple of times and place it in your microwave with the bottom of the bag up. Rule of thumb is 2 minutes + 1 1/2 minutes per ear for the average microwave. So, if you put 4 ears in the bag, microwave them for 8 minutes. When you pull the bag out, be very careful- it will be hot as all stink. Let the ears cool for a few minutes, and husk them- the silk will come off with what is left of the husk. Bit of butter, some salt or Old Bay, and you'll have trouble doing it on the grill and drying it out. You can do multiple ears per bag- we usually do about 6-8 at a time. And you may have to experiment with your microwave as some are faster than others. But you'll like the corn this way.
