I had a shot in the knee in May and it definitely helped. Ortho guy also set me up for Physical therapy and that"s helping too.
Had both minisci repaired 11 years ago and some arthritis removed.
Back in May, on to a podiatrist to biopsy a suspicious black spot under a toe nail. (Pathology report negative--a hematoma.) Anyway, X-rays showed movement and dislocation of big toe joint and other toe joint issues in my right foot. Will require surgery. He says that"s been the cause of my knee problem--screwed up my gait.
But-I really don"t see how a cortisone shot or shots will be any kind of a permanent fix for a torn miniscus or a piece of something "floating" in the knee. The only solution to either of those issues is surgery.
