Yes I had such a cat. Weighed 12 lb and was afraid of nothing. When the door bell rang he was the first one there to check out the vistor and if he sensed something wrong fluffed up and hissed; ran off strange dogs and cats; hunted down the rabbits and mice in the yard. If we went for a walk he went too. When a new cat came to live with us established who was boss. With the new dog that took a little time but he did get the 30+ lb dog straight. Finially died of old age at 18 years.
