check the breather pipe that comes off the top of the valve cover and runs down the front of the engine to make sure its not stopped up.
diesel will have a little blow by so if you run it down the highway and you see a drip on the dipstick, its pretty much normal. Just make sure the valve cover vent tube is open. If the oil is over full, or milky white, or smells like diesel, you may have other problems. All diesels will have some blowby or pressure, but the vents will normally take care of them.
