My son works on them almost full-time. The JD dealer in central MN is a "Focus" dealer for choppers. They have many customers in both Dakota"s, Iowa, even one in Illinois. One was running 4 machines last year. Last year it was early frost, this year it"s the widespread drought that gives him long days. Winter time, he rebuilds them. Says an annual is likely 13 grand or more. Re cutting any direction- when opening a field, they run the chopper in a circle to fill out one truck, 2nd truck pulls in when the chopper gets back to the split.
