My wife and I and her two sisters and there husbands did the land/cruise tour in July. We flew into Anchorage and then Fairbanks. Stayed at the Danali Lodge and did the Danali park tour and some other things. Then a train/dinner ride to Whitier where boarded The Island Princess. Sailed to Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan and then on to Vancouver, BC
Seen some great sights. There are some good tours and some great tours. Example, We panned for gold in a stream. But some of the gold panning tours just give you a bucket with sand in it and a water trough, no stream in sight.
Make sure you have a passport.
I am not a vacationer, but for me the cruise was to long. And to make matters worst when we went to fly home, Air Canada said our seats were cancelled and resold. So we had to stay an extra day in Vancouver.
Now we are fighting with to get our expenses covered. We did have travel ins.
Have a good time and take lots of pics.
