My Dad told us the story of when him and some of the neighbor kids in Iowa went out one night to steal watermellons from a neighbor's patch. Dad picked up a good size watermellon, un-buttoned the sides of his bib overalls and slipped the watermellon inside his overalls to carry it.
About that time the owner of the patch came out and yelled at them. Dad took off running with the watermellon - then tripped and fell flat on his face. That mellon made quite a mess!
