The presidents idea of middle class is government/public employees. All he ever talks about is teachers, fire-fighters, and law enforcement. When has he ever mentioned, say construction estimators, mechanics, farmers--except in Iowa in response to more ethynol from corn. Hasn't he heard there's a corn crop disaster? Look for higher food prices--that sure helps the working poor and others--yet EPA hasn't suspended regulations for corn in fuel production.
I tend to agree with others; it has to doi with both income and values.
