The best cheaper stuff I have had is the Craftsman 19.2 volt stuff. I have Dewalt for the real heavy stuff but I needed a circular saw a few years ago. I could not justify the $450 that the set form Dewalt was. I bought a set from Craftsman that had a Drill,Sawzall, circular saw, and a fluorescent light. It was on sale for around $165. I really use the fluorescent light all the time. The drill half inch chuck that is handy. The batteries don't last as long as the Dewalt but last pretty good. I have since bought a 1/2 impact and just got a 3/8 impact. It was on sale. You got the impact, charger, and single battery for $90 delivered to my door step. It is real handy to use on sickle guard bolts. I did two grain heads just yesterday with it.
The Harbor freight stuff is getting to be pure junk any more. I used to have some of their tools for the tractor tool boxes. I had a set of 1/2 impact sockets I used for years. They where an extra deep set. Then about 3-4 years ago the quality just went to he!!. The stuff is real low quality now. I have had guys buy some of the stuff and it would fail just running it in the air when they unpacked it. I don't buy any of it any more.
