I'm restoring a Case VAC, and the supplied white square/black border decal for the PTO shield doesn't look right. Looking through the various photos in manuals, you can see that the original decal was very different, with a large green decal with white cross that said "SAFETY FIRST" in block letters with a more specific message below it.
They must have been an industry standard at the time, I've seen similar decals on the Case DC manuals, a few on John Deeres, and even a PTO shield off of my Oliver 70 has the decal, though the smaller message is unreadable. I can see there were quite a few variations in pictures, but few are good enough to actually READ the text.
Here's a Deere example:
If anyone has photos or copies of good originals, I'd love to see them as I'd like to try to make some, or have some made. Off a Case VAC would be nice, but any brand would likely be very useful!
Heck, any of the smaller Case VAC decals would be nice to see. There was one for draining the block, and I think one on the oil filter too.
