If it's got an alternator on it it has been converted and you'll need a 12Volt battery if it's got a generator on it it the generator should have a tag and that tag will tell you generator voltage. If it has set for many years you probably should of at least cleaned & gapped the points and plugs and maybe given each cylinder a spoon full of oil before trying to start it.
