The philosopher Hesiod wrote in 800 bc (almost 3000 years ago) that he didn't see much good in the younger generation. They were disrespectful and wouldn't work. Every generation of older folks has always thought the younger generation didn't measure up to their generation. It has to do with age more than quality.
