I wasn't going to respond to this BUT, upon reading things a bit closer(others pointing it out), why are you in the left lane? Regardless of what common practice is, the left lane is for passing or turning left. If you are obstructing traffic in the left lane, and a cop sees it, he can ticket you. He could likely ticket you for being in the left lane if the right lanes are open, even if you aren't obstructing traffic. Unfortunately, obstructing traffic on a 2 lane road isn't ticketable unless there is a minimum speed limit which I've never seen on a small road. People who insist on holding up 10 miles of traffic by doing 10 under tick me off to no end.
