Sometimes it works calling their bluff.
I recently called direct TV to get a dish installed. I have an existing dish abandoned years ago up on the roof. Wiring is all complete and working.
Seems direct tv will no longer let technicians carry a ladder on their trucks. He wanted to put a post in the yard an staple wire about 50' exposed on the outside of the house, then into and across the attic to the existing dish location.
My home is a 1 story hip roof that has very little pitch. In other words very easy to get up on.
