Three years ago lost the left kidney with a tumor. Someone had an oops while in surgery. They had to cut the artery carrying blood to the kidney and ended cutting the mesentary(spelling) artery as well. At that point they had to cut an opening big enough to go in and find the other end of the artery so they could reconnect it. To get a big enough hole they removed one of the floating ribs. My 2 hr. surgery ended up being 8 hr. Had lots of pain at first but healed up quickly, just do as others and doctors say and don't over do it. rushing to get back to doing too many things will just slow you down more.
