All of you thumpers need to go and research the various translations of the bible from ancient Hebrew to Greek that occurred BCE, then to Latin and finally to English. Look at what King James did to the Bible to protect his "god given right to rule".
Then look up just how many years after Christ was executed (crucification being a from of execution) it was before the crunch accepted Christ as the Son of God. How many years before Matthew, Mark and them wrote their books. Just what the church did in deciding what when into the bible. Then look at what the church teaches today. Failure to put money in the plate is a sin. Failure to follow what the preacher is telling you is wrong. To ask certain questions is a sin and those questions will be ignored. Of course any question they don't want to address isn't a question you want answered but"words from Satan". Ask why the Church didn't want anyone reading the Bible for centuries. Also ask why the Islamic religious leaders don't wnat anyone to be able to read the Koran. It goes hand in hand.
After many years I do not trust the word of any "man of God". Nor do I trust the established churches.
Now get this. I believe in God and Jesus Christ.
But I know that man has screwed up the Bible despite that thing about being the word of God written by man. The part that really gets me is the "let no man change it". It's almost as the religious leaders who put it together knew somewhere down the line they were going to be found out and there was the reason that anyone who called it into question could be tourtured and burned. God gave us the ability to ask questions and find answers yet the Church tried very hard to suppress that.
