I was talking to a close friend that still sells for a JD dealer. HE told me that JD sold the manufacturing rights to the JD 640 and JD 740 loaders. KOYKER bought them. So I went and looked at Koyker's web site. Sure enough they have them right there. Even advertising that the parts will interchange with the JD ones. All I could see that was different was the buckets did not have the smooth rounded back in them.
So if you want a USA made loader to fit a large number of JD tractors go to Koyker. If you want a Mexican built loader with a poor paint job and questionable welds then go to your favorite JD dealer.
These two models of loaders where the most popular ones JD built in the last twenty years. They lasted very well and would fit a lot of different models of tractors.
