What we eat is much a regional thing. Some people love to eat clams, snails, sushi, seaweed, frogs, certain bugs, liver, squash, cauliflower, and other gross stuff. The plains indians had many dogs more for a stable food source as they wandered than companionship or a hunting tool. I for one always thought the horse slaughter ban should not only be reversed, but a special slaughter house should be constructed to handle these unwanted horses for human consumption. The meat could be distributed to the "poor" in America rather than the cash giveaway our government buys votes with to keep them in office and keep the welfare state dependent on them. Why give cash when you can give protein. If they don't like it or appreciate it, they must not be hungry and don't need the assistance.
