In central Ohio (Grove City) the close stations were at $3.17 earlier today, and shortly after I bought gas it went up to $3.45. I just beat the increase. The stations were a madhouse because a lot of people saw the increase coming. I had already seen several of the surrounding stations jack their prices.
They are always eager to jack it up when something happens, even though the gas is the same gas that was already in the tanks, but awfully slow to bring it back down.
