I don't have the foggiest idea how to check pressure at the pump - do you mean the steering pump? Is there a port for that? I have the shop manual but don't really see where I can get a gauge in there...
Also - yes...the PTO works fine and the 3pt works fine too - but the 3pt is slow - I've got a ripper on the back of it that weighs around 3000lbs and the hitch takes about 10 to 30 seconds to start lifting it - then it lifts it...Once its all the way up - it leaks down every couple minutes and pops it right back up - I guess the 3pt cylinder has a leak but I wouldn't suspect that would affect my steering especially since i was ripping for 6 days and steering just fine...
