Alfalfa is always a lot more expensive than the grass hay that yous are comparing it to. I don't know if yous didn't read it right or what. A lot heaver and a lot more protein than the same size grass hay bale, too. 110 lbs. around here. $15.00-$20.00 per bale or more. $10.00 is cheap for a bale of Alfalfa.
